‘Sindhu Shikhar’ Delhi-Leh-Delhi Car Expedition launched on 10 June 2024 culminated on 27 June 2024 at New Delhi after covering a total distance of 3640 kms over 18 days.
32 Naval personnel including six woman officers participated in the Car Rally on six vehicles. The expedition achieved the objective of spreading awareness about maritime heritage and consciousness in the northern states of the country.
The team conducted awareness drives in six NCC units along the route in Haryana, Punjab, Jand K, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh and conducted lectures on various career opportunities that the Navy offers and motivated young students to join Indian Navy. They also interacted with Naval Veterans at Chandigarh.
The rally was supported by sponsors Mahindra Auto and JK Tyre Corporate.
