Russian Naval Ships 'Varyag' and 'Marshal Shaposhnikov' are on a goodwill visit to Kochi from 06-09 August 2024. The ships were accorded a warm welcome by IndianNavy in the background of fanfare by Naval band. Captain 1st Anatoly Velichko, Flag Officer onboard Russian Ship along with Commanding Officers of both warships called on Rear Admiral Upal Kundu, Chief of Staff, SNC on 06 August 2024 and discussed matters of Maritime Interest. The ships are on their return passage to Russia after port call at Kochi. During the visit, professional interactions, cross deck visits, social engagements and friendly sports fixtures are scheduled between the two sides. The visit of Russian Naval ships underscore the strong maritime cooperation and partnership between the two Navies.
