INSV Tarini will once again set sail on a challenging expedition of circumnavigating the globe, with the courageous duo of Lt Cdr Dilna K and Lt Cdr Roopa A on 02 October 2024, as part of 2nd edition of Navika Sagar Parikrama, NSP2. Over a period of 08 months, the duo will navigate more than 21,600 Nm (approx 40,000 km) without any external assistance, relying solely on wind power. NSP 2 will not only be a testament of their personal bravery and skill but a celebration of Indian Navy's commitment to Nari Shakti underlining the essence of maritime prowess, self-reliance and commitment to a greater cause. A curtain raiser event presided by Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan VCNS was held at New Delhi on 23 September 2024. Speaking on the occasion, VCNS described Navika Sagar Parikrama II as a journey of empowerment, innovation, and commitment to India's maritime heritage while charting new paths for a brighter and empowered future.
