Rear Admiral K Srinivas assumed charge as Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dockyard ASD, Visakhapatnam on 27 September 2024. The Flag Officer was commissioned into Indian Navy in January 1990. He is an alumnus of Sainik School, Korukonda and National Defence Academy NDA, Khadakvasla. The Flag Officer has served extensively at sea including onboard the erstwhile Aircraft Carrier INS Viraat in various capacity and was the Warship Production Superintendent at Severodvinsk Russia, overseeing repairs and re-equipping of INS Vikramaditya. He has tenanted the key appointments of Principal Director Aircraft Carrier Projects and Principal Director Fleet Maintenance at Naval Headquarters NHQ, New Delhi and commanded INS Shivaji. On promotion to Flag Rank in January 2022, Admiral took over as Assistant Chief of Materiel (Modernisation) and Director General, NATAA. Prior to taking over as ASD Vizag he was holding the appointment of Assistant Chief of Materiel (Dockyard and Refit) at NHQ, New Delhi.
