Russian Naval Submarine 'Ufa' arrived at Kochi on 21 October 2024. On arrival, the submarine was accorded a warm welcome by Indian Navy. Captain 2nd Rank Andrey Barkov, Commanding Officer Ufa called on Commodore Sarvpreet Singh, Chief Staff Officer (Operations) Southern Naval Command SNC and held discussions on maritime interests. During the port call, professional interactions, familiarisation visits and friendly sports fixtures are scheduled between the two sides. The visit of Russian submarine to Indian port highlights strong maritime cooperation and partnership between the two Navies.
