1.The Annual Sahara Milan and Navy Day Lunch, as a part of Navy Day Celebrations - 2024, with the theme "Shakti - Celebrating Strength and Courage", was conducted on 17 Dec 24 (Tuesday) by Sahara Group, Navy Welfare & Wellness Association (Eastern Region) at Samudrika Auditorium in Visakhapatnam. Mrs. Sandhya Rao Pendharkar, President NWWA, Eastern Region was the Chief Guest for the event. The main aim of the Milan was to interact with the Veer Naris and over one hundred ladies from Visakhapatnam attended the event. Issues relating to welfare of Sahara Ladies were addressed comprehensively and points raised were noted for immediate resolution. Welfare measures extended to Sahara ladies and the Annual report on CRSO activities were presented by Command Regimental System Officer of Eastern Naval Command. Representatives from Ex-Servicemen Contributory Health Scheme (ECHS), Polyclinic, Indian Naval Canteen Services (INCS), State Bank of India (SBI), Nausea Baugh & Zilla Sainik Welfare Office (ZSWO) ensured on the spot redressal of issues raised by the ladies.

2.President NWA (E/R) addressed the gathering and presented gifts to the Sahara ladies.

3.The Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Eastern Naval Command also interacted with the Veer Naris and attended Navy Day lunch. The day was a pleasant outing for the Veer Naris with bonhomie and joviality interaction with senior members of the naval fraternity.
