The highly anticipated second edition of Kochi Navy Cyclothon was conducted by Southern Naval Command on 19 Jan 25. The event saw participation of over 800 cycling enthusiasts from Indian Navy and the city of Kochi, showcasing an inspiring amalgamation of unity , camaraderie and endurance. The participants took part in two distance categories of 75 km and 40 km, traversing over the scenic terrain of Kochi. 

The grand event was flagged off by Vice Adm V Srinivas Flag Officer Commanding in Chief, Southern Naval Command from KV Port Trust Ground at Willingdon Island. The Cyclothon witnessed participation of children, youth, senior citizens and fitness enthusiasts reflecting passion for cycling and commitment to fitness. The initiative was aimed at promoting sports in daily life and healthy living in keeping with ‘Khelo Bharat’ initiative of the Government of India. One of the key feature of this edition was participation of four differently abled athletes shoulder to shoulder with other participants, highlighting inclusiveness in sports for all. The successful finishers of the event were awarded finishers medals in both categories as token of encouragement. 

The Kochi Navy Cyclothon is a testament of Indian Navy's commitment towards sports and fitness as a way of life while promoting green initiatives.
