General Anil Chauhan, Chief of Defence Staff felicitated the awardees of the prestigious MacGregor Memorial Medal for 2023 & 2024 at USI, New Delhi on 16 April 2025. Instituted in 1888, the medal commemorates the spirit of courage and discovery in service to the nation. EA(R) Rahul Kumar Pandey was honoured for 2023, while Ram Ratan Jat, CHEAA (R) of INS Shikra WNC has been conferred the prestigious MacGregor Memorial Medal for his 2nd place finish in the gruelling Hell Ultra race for 2024, considered the world’s toughest high-altitude race. In his address, CDS appreciated the exceptional work done by personnel of Indian Armed Forces over the years in the field of operational exploration and adventure, encouraging the Future Leaders to draw inspiration from the awardees and meet greater challenges to accomplish tasks beyond the line of duty, always keeping Nation First.
