Annual Training Conference and Annual Training Meeting 2025, chaired by Vice Admiral V Srinivas, Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief, Southern Naval Command were held at Naval Base, Kochi on 19 September 2025. The conference was attended by heads of all training establishments, stakeholders from Naval HQ, Coast Guard HQ, Command HQs, Class Authorities and Fleet Commanders of the Indian Navy. The deliberations reviewed existing policies, training philosophy and methodologies against the backdrop of evolving complexities in the maritime domain. Discussions also focused on leveraging niche technologies to meet emerging operational challenges.
On this occasion, the document “Training for Tomorrow” a capstone compendium of courses offered by the Indian Navy to Friendly Foreign Countries was released. The publication will serve as a comprehensive guide to state-of-the-art training infrastructure and professional courses offered by Indian Navy. The event also witnessed the presentation of the Gyan Praveen Trophy for Best Training Package to INS Valsura, INS Vishwakrma and SFNA. As the Training Command of the Indian Navy, SNC shoulders the responsibility of organising, conducting and overseeing all basic, professional and specialist training of naval personnel.
