A delegation of 14 media journalists from and USA visited Western Naval Command on 29 September 2025.The delegation was briefed on the role and responsibilities of WNC. Discussions with Rear Admiral Vidhyadhar Harke, Chief Staff Officer (Operations) CSO focussed on maritime security and operations undertaken by Indian Navy in its Areas of Responsibility. The visit to Headquarters Western Naval Command was followed by a tour of INS Visakhapatnam, an indigenously designed and constructed guided missile destroyer of the Indian Navy, to showcase indigenous ship building capabilities.
