At the first light on 30 October 2025, Indian Navy Sea King helicopter was launched from INS Shikra Mumbai for medical evacuation of an Iranian fisherman who had suffered severe burn injuries resulting from an explosion onboard an Iranian dhow. The casualty was earlier recovered from the dhow by ICGS Sachet on 28 October 2025, following a request from MRCC Chabahar. The Sea King flew over 120 nautical miles into the sea post refuelling at INS Hansa Goa braving marginal weather and rough conditions to effect evacuation utilising a MEDEVAC litter. On arrival ashore at Goa, the casualty was shifted to INHS Jeevanti for further treatment. A true display of valour, joint man ship and Indian Navy’s commitment as First Responders in the IOR.
