Rear Admiral Sritanu Guru took over as the Flag Officer Commanding Gujarat Daman and Diu Naval Area FOGNA from Rear Admiral Satish Vasudev on 01 November 2025. A specialist in anti-submarine warfare, the officer has held challenging operational and staff assignments afloat and ashore during a distinguished career of over three decades.
He has commanded INS Mysore, INS Kuthar INS Ajay and INS Astravahini and his staff tenures include serving at the Directorate of Naval Plans at Naval Headquarters and as Naval Assistant to FOCINC ENC. Prior taking over as FOGNA, he was the Commodore (Training) SNC
