Rear Admiral Ravnish Seth assumed duties as Admiral Superintendent, Naval Ship Repair Yard Karwar on 24 November 2025. Commissioned into the Engineering Branch on 30 November 1991, he is an alumnus of DSSC Wellington, Naval War College (Goa) and NDC New Delhi, and holds degrees from JNU, DIAT Pune, Pune University and Madras University. A distinguished Marine Engineer, he topped the Marine Engineering Specialisation Course at INS Shivaji. His sea tenures include service onboard INS Khukri, INS Nishank and INS Delhi, as well as an overseas assignment with the Mauritius Coast Guard as SO (Tech). He has held key appointments including MSAQ, DGM (Cap) & AGM (Production) at ND (Mumbai), JDOP (Tech) at NHQ/MoD, and OI/C GTTT (Mumbai). As Commanding Officer of INS Shivaji, the unit received the President’s Colour.
Upon promotion, he served as Director DMDE (Hyderabad) and CSO (Tech) at Eastern Naval Command. He was awarded the VSM in 2025.
