Where Legacy Meets the Future!
As part of the 9th Indian Navy METOC Veterans’ Reunion, a group of 60 veterans visited various Meteorological Centres and School of Naval Oceanology and Meteorology at Southern Naval Command on 13 December 2025. The delegation included Commodore P I Oomen, VSM (Retd), a nonagenarian, pioneer of Indian Navy 's METOC and the first Principal Director Naval Oceanology and Meteorology, whose presence added special significance to the visit.
