Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, CNS, delivered a guest lecture at the College of Defence Management, to the 21st Higher Defence Management Course, including officers from Friendly Foreign Countries, on 26 February 2026.
CNS address was themed on the topic: "Trinity of Transitions - Three Interlocking Transformations to Apex-Level Leadership", which include the Personal, Institutional and National transition.At the Personal Level, CNS emphasised the shift expected from military leaders as they transition from tactical execution to operational and strategic leadership levels; urging officers to embrace complexity, manage uncertainty, and expand their time horizons which will help them "define which problems matter the most"
At the Institutional Level, CNS highlighted the need to transition from single service identity to joint and integrated structures for effective orchestration of capabilities.Finally, at the National Level, CNS stressed the need to move away from legacy institutional thinking to a reform-oriented, whole of government outlook as India advances towards Viksit Bharat.
