The 6th edition of Kochi Navy Marathon, organised under the aegis of the Southern Naval Command, was successfully conducted on 21 December 2025 at KV Port Trust Ground, Willingdon Island. Bathed in vibrant skies and framed by the iconic landscape of the island, the marathon came alive with the spirited strides of over 7,000 runners, reflecting exceptional enthusiasm, determination and sporting spirit. The prestigious event witnessed wholehearted participation from personnel of the Armed Forces, citizens of Kerala, fitness enthusiasts from across the country. More than a race, the Kochi Navy Marathon stood as a powerful symbol of unity, endurance and sportsmanship, reaffirming Indian Navy’s enduring bond with the city of Kochi and the state of Kerala.
The marathon featured three competitive categories — the 21 km Half Marathon, 10 km Timed Run, and the 5 km Fun Run. Participation spanned all age groups, including children, youth, senior citizens, veteran and seasoned runners, as well as naval personnel and their families, making the event a vibrant celebration of inclusivity and togetherness. A specially curated run for differently abled children further highlighted the event’s commitment to social responsibility and inclusive participation.
Vice Admiral Sameer Saxena, FOCINC, SNC, graced the occasion as the Chief Guest and flagged off the popular 5 km Fun Run.
