ENC is progressing Swachhata Special Campaign 4.0, an initiative of Gol, towards improving Swachhata and disposal of pending references, from 02 to 31 October 2024. The aim of Special Campaign 4.0 is to create awareness about Swachhata by improving overall cleanliness of offices, with special impetus on field/ outlying formations and also envisages streamlining records keeping, monitoring/ checks on cleanliness and spreading the message of cleanliness. Units/ Establishments under HQENC undertook various activities such as Special drives to clear difficult and inaccessible areas, disposal of discarded vehicles/ equipment, management of e-waste and creating awareness regarding usage of recycled products. These events are aimed at sensitising naval personnel, defence civilians and the local population on the management of waste arising from rapid Infrastructure development and the exponential progress of industrialisation in Visakhapatnam. ENC been playing an active role in Swachhata campaign by undertaking various eco-friendly initiatives towards safe guarding the environment and fostering collaboration between the naval community and local populace. The focus has been on spreading the habit of respecting the environment today, which will in turn contribute towards a cleaner and healthier tomorrow.
