Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, CNS, addressed the Navy Foundation Pune Chapter as part of the Admiral JG Nadkarni Memorial Lecture on 30 November 2025. CNS highlighted India’s rising maritime orientation under GoI initiatives including MAHASAGAR, Maritime India Vision 2030, SAGARMALA and other reforms in the maritime sector driving national resurgence. Amid geopolitical and technological flux across Indo Pacific, CNS reaffirmed the Navy’s commitment to remain Combat Ready Credible Cohesive & Future Ready. CNS highlighted the Navy's role in the ongoing Opsindoor, the high-tempo mission deployments of Indian Navy warships, and the various humanitarian operations in IOR, regional engagements, and 11,000+ ship days at sea as indicators of the Navy's readiness, credibility and stature as a global security partner. CNS stated that with 52 ships under construction in India, indigenous propulsion, AI and quantum initiatives, NIIO India_iDEX -driven innovation, the Navy is steering towards a fully Aatmanirbhar force aligned with India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047, ready to shape India’s maritime future. Finally, CNS emphasised investment in people - Gen Z leaders, Agniveers, Nari Shakti, holistic wellness, advanced training, and infrastructure and housing augmentation to enhance the quality of living across naval stations.
