On the sidelines of the Commanders’ Conference, Admiral Dinesh K Tripathi, CNS hosted Sagar Manthan 26/1 at the Navy House. Aimed at moving From Intent to Capability, the dialogue brought the Navy’s top leadership together with distinguished leaders from the NITI Aayog, Services, Industry and the Innovation ecosystem to deliberate on Reforming Defence R&D and Capability Development through Greater Industry Participation. In an era defined by rapid technological diffusion and evolving geopolitics, discussions focused on: -- building an agile, inclusive innovation ecosystem leveraging startups, MSMEs, academia and industry to accelerate capability outcomes - widening the defence R&D base and strengthening Public-Private partnership models through reforms and imbibing best practices
The deliberations threw up thought-provoking perspectives and ideas for deepening industry participation and strengthening a future ready defence ecosystem. A step towards translating intent into capability faster, smarter, and at scale
