As a prelude to the Joint Services Multispecialty Medical Camp by Indian Navy and UTL Administration, Ophthalmology screening camps were conducted at Agatti, Amini, Androth and Minicoy from 05–08 January 2026. Over 400 patients were screened, with 63 identified for cataract surgery by Armed Forces specialists.
The initiative stands as a strong example of coordinated medical outreach by Indian Navy, reaffirming commitment to delivering specialised and people-centric healthcare services to remote island communities.
