Indian Navy carried out a successful medical evacuation of two critically ill patients including a 03 days old infant, from Agatti Island, Lakshadweep on 27 June 2024. The evacuationpt of request fr operation was initiated immediately by SNC Kochi on receiom UT of Lakshadweep at 1530h. Amidst challenging weather conditions due to prevailing SW monsoon in the area, Naval Dornier was deployed from INS Garuda which successfully landed at Agatti at 1730h. Post embarkation, the patients were safely transited from Agatti to Kochi at 1915h. The patients were subsequently shifted to local hospital for further medical management. This medical evacuation once again validates Indian Navy's commitment and readiness towards crisis response and humanitarian assistance anytime anywhere.
