Indian Navy has signed MoUs with IIT Madras, M/s IOCL, M/s CSL and M/s MDL towards collaboration in the field of training, technology development and providing solutions to field level challenges. The partnership signifies a move towards collaborative relationship between Academia, Shipyards and Indian Navy fostering an environment conducive to innovation and knowledge exchange through workshops, courses, visits and joint research in the field of Marine Engineering paving the way to Atmanirbhar Indian Navy. The MoUs were signed by Rear Admiral Vikas Chawla, Assistant Chief of Materiel (Dockyard & Refits) ACOM (D&R) and respective signatories from IIT Madras, M/s IOCL, M/s CSL and M/s MDL.
