As part of Indian Navy's outreach with key Indo - Pacific Nations, a 46-member delegation from Japanese Maritime Self Defence Force Command and Staff College Tokyo was hosted at Naval Headquarters New Delhi on 27 October 2025. The delegation head Vice Admiral Ishimaki Yoshiyasu and course participants were provided an overview of India's strategic imperatives with special focus on Indo-Pacific by a combined team from HQIDS Indian Army Indian Navy and Indian Air Force. Earlier, on 24 October 2025, the delegation had visited Naval War College Goa where a historic Memorandum of Cooperation was signed between the Indian and Japanese Colleges to further strengthen collaboration in Professional Military Education and Research. The visit underscores the strong cooperation between Indian and Japanese Armed Forces.
