A media team from Directorate of Public Relations of MoD visited Naval Dockyard Mumbai on 09 July 2025 for a tour of flagship initiatives of GoI.
The team visited INS Surat, Indian Navy's latest indigenously designed and constructed frontline destroyer, that vividly showcases the tangible outcomes of self-reliance in defence manufacturing and a testament to the resounding success of Atma Nirbhay Bharat and Make in India initiatives. They were briefed on how these initiatives in defence manufacturing have enabled Indian Navy to operate through full spectrum of operations through customised designs, reliable maintenance and quicker upgrades through indigenisation.
