A mountaineering expedition to Mt Nun (7145M) in Ladakh was flagged off by Rear Admiral Aditya Hara, CPS on 06 August 2024 at New Delhi. The team consists of 16 naval personnel, including three women officers. CPS handed over the ceremonial Ice Axe to Oi/c of team, Commander Subir Kumar Singh and wished the team a successful summit of Mt Nun. The team assembled at New Delhi on 28 July 2024 and underwent kitting up, comprehensive fitness and endurance training including special training capsule at Indian Mountaineering Foundation IMF to hone their technical skills. The team proceeds to Leh to commence the expedition from 08 August 2024.
