Indian Navy’s Naval History Division conducted a thought-provoking panel discussion today at on “Creating Rule-Based Order: Role of the Indian Navy”, moderated by Associate Professor Abhimanyu Singh Arha, JNU with Lieutenant Commander Anupama Thapliyal and Lieutenant Jeevitesh Saharan as panelists. The discussions underscored Indian Navy’s pivotal role in crisis response and maritime governance - from operations ashore during the 1961 Liberation of Goa to anti-piracy missions in the IOR - highlighting the Navy’s contribution to maintaining stability and protecting maritime commons. The session was well received by audience and generated keen interest and interaction. Vice Admiral C R Praveen Nair, CPS visited the venue and interacted with the NHD staff, appreciating their efforts in setting up the naval pavilion and showcasing Indian Navy’s proud history and contemporary role.\
