A photo-essay book titled "Breaking Waves, Making History", was released by Indian Navy, on 29 May 2025, during the flag-in ceremony of INSV Tarini, in the presence of Raksha Mantri, Shri Rajnath Singh. Authored by the Naval History Division, the book documents the extraordinary circumnavigation of the globe by Lieutenant Commander Dilna K and Lieutenant Commander Roopa A aboard INSV Tarini. Spanning 25,600 nautical miles over eight months, the voyage is chronicled in detail - highlighting life at sea, operational challenges and experiences across five legs with port calls at Fremantle, Lyttelton, Port Stanley, and Cape Town. Richly illustrated with photographs and personal accounts, Breaking Waves, Making History presents a vivid portrayal of maritime endurance and leadership. It stands as an inspiring edition to Indian Navy’s sailing legacy and serves as a tribute to the grit, skill and determination of its women officers.
