INS Virbahu, a base depot for all submarines on East coast commemorated 53rd anniversary on 19 May 2024. Various activities were conducted over a period of four days from 16 to 19 May 2024 to mark the event which included a Treeplantation drive and a 53 KM cycle rally. Commodore LM Fernandes, Commanding Officer, INS Virbahu addressed the personnel and highlighted the ever increasing role and responsibility of the unit in supporting the Submarines at ENC. As part of the unit anniversary, Mrs Aruna Fernandes and ladies of Virbahu donated toys, books and clothes at Orphanage in the city.
