Rear Admiral Arvind Rawal assumed charge as Chief Staff Officer (Technical) at WNC on 10 December 2025. The Admiral was commissioned on 01 July 1992 and is an alumnus of NDA, Khadakwasla, Naval War College, Goa and National Defence College, New Delhi. During a career spanning over 33 years, he has held key appointments in India and abroad. He has served onboard INS Ranvijay, INS Rajput and INS Shivalik and has commanded INS Shivaji. His staff appointments include three tenures at NHQ and an overseas tenure as the Technical Advisor at HCI, Victoria, Seychelles.
On promotion to Flag rank on 01 February 2024, he served as Director General Project-75 and ACOM (D&R) at NHQ, prior to taking over the present appointment.
