Rear Admiral Iftekhar Alam took over as Additional Director General Warship Design Bureau, New Delhi on 01 December 2025.
He was commissioned in Indian Navy on 26 November 1994. He is an alumnus of Naval College of Engineering, Naval War College, Goa and National Defence College, Kenya. He holds an M.Tech and PhD in Electronics & Telecommunication, and has held several afloat, Staff, Yard and Command appointments in his career.
