The ‘Rhino's Ride’ from INS Brahmaputra at Mumbai to Brahmaputra River, commemorating the ship's 25th year in service of the nation, culminated on 09 May 2024. The motorcycle expedition was flagged off on 18 April 2024 and traversed over 3,000 kms. As part of the expedition, the team of 25 motorcycle riders interacted with over 8,000 students in 30 schools and Five NCC units to motivate the youth to join the Indian Navy as well as create awareness about Agnipath scheme. The riders also interacted with personnel from Indian Army and Indian Air Force spread across Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal and Assam to promote tri-service camaraderie. The team visited Kaziranga National Park and Pobitora Wildlife sanctuary, home to the One horned Rhinoceros that adorns the Ship's Crest. The riders also paid homage to the mighty Brahmaputra River, after which the ship is named.
