The second edition of Indian Navy’s biannual Commanders’ Conference 2025 commenced on 22 October 2025 with the Opening Address by the Chief of the Naval Staff. CNS commended the collective dedication, professionalism, & sustained commitment of Team Navy to ensuring operational excellence and Combat Readiness as displayed during Operation Sindoor, which stands as a source of pride for our nation. Highlighting the prevailing geostrategic environment, CNS underscored the Navy’s role in safeguarding national maritime interests through enhanced preparedness, adaptability, and proactive engagement in the region. Reaffirming the Indian Navy’s status as a Combat Ready force, CNS lauded the conduct of multiple successful operational deployments and seamless execution of joint missions. He noted significant capability accretions and procurements that have further strengthened the Navy’s operational potential. Emphasising the Navy’s role as a Credible Force and the preferred security partner in Indian Ocean Region, CNS highlighted initiatives such as the deployment of IOS Sagar and the conduct of AIKEYME, all under the overarching vision of MAHASAGAR. As a Cohesive Force, CNS appreciated the ongoing efforts towards workforce induction, improved accommodation, enhanced physical fitness, and overall well-being of personnel. He also emphasised steady strides in technology induction, success of IDEX initiatives, and the continued drive towards a fully Aatmanirbhar Navy by 2047, reinforcing the vision of a Future Ready force. CNS reiterated focus on the seven key areas - warfighting & combat efficiency, force levels & capacity development, fleet maintenance & operational logistics, innovation & integration of new technologies, balanced workforce development, operational & organisational agility, and synergy with national agencies and stakeholders. He provided guidance on sustaining momentum in these priority areas to strengthen the Navy’s overall capability and readiness to safeguard India's maritime interests.
