In the run up to Navy Day 2025, the Southern Naval Command hosted a transformative day for differently abled children during their visit onboard INS Shardul and Naval exhibition at Naval Institute of Aeronautical Technology on 08 November 2025. The event witnessed more than 200 special children and teachers from various schools of Ernakulam.
The visit carefully curated to cater to diverse needs, unfolded as a testament to IndianNavy's commitment to fostering inclusivity and societal outreach. The itinerary featured guided tour of the ship, display of small arms and interactive exhibits from various Naval Training Schools which were displayed at NIAT. The event saw heartwarming moments as children, accompanied by their teachers, navigated through the ships and exhibits with wide-eyed wonder and curiosity. The smiles, laughter and shared joy echoed the success of an event designed to create lasting memories.
