A two-day Safety Workshop themed Blending Ancient Wisdom with Modern Cognitive Science was conducted by the Indian Naval Safety Team at Southern Naval Command Kochi from 23 - 24 September 2025. Over the course of workshop, Mr Amit Singh, Founder, Safety Matters Foundation comprehensively highlighted Safety principles drawn from ancient wisdom that is applicable to modern safety practices. Day One of the workshop delved into areas of cultural dimensions of power distance and mindfulness drawn from Indian scripts. Day Two expanded focus on global best practices like Japanese Shisa Kanko and explored the concept of inattentional blindness, semiotics in safety communication and the role of Artificial Intelligence for enhancing Safety. The event reaffirms Indian Navy's commitment towards strengthening Safety Culture across all domains. Rear Admiral Srinivas Maddula, Flag Officer Sea Training felicitated the guest speaker.
