Vice Admiral Susheel Menon assumed charge as the Chief of Staff, HQENC on 01 November 2025 upon completion of his tenure as the Fleet Commander, Eastern Fleet. FOCEF Eastern Sword Sunrise Fleet An alumnus of the National Defence Academy, Vice Admiral Menon was commissioned into the Indian Navy in 1992. A Gunnery and Missiles Specialist, the Flag Officer has held an array of operational, training and staff appointments during his distinguished career spanning over three decades.
He has commanded IN Ships TRV-71, Kirpan, Kolkata and the Aircraft Carrier INS Vikramaditya. He has also served as the Flag Officer Sea Training.The Admiral is a graduate of the Naval Command and Staff College, Jakarta Indonesia and the Naval War College, Rhode Island, USA.
The Flag Officer was conferred the Vishisht Seva Medal in 2019 for distinguished service.
