First Training Squadron 1TS comprising INS Tir, Sail Training Ship INS Sudarshini and CGS Sarathi are on training deployment to West coast of India. As part of deployment, trainees would be familiarised with Indian harbours and defence establishments/ ships on western seaboard. INS Tir and CGS Sarathi entered Karwar harbour on 04 January 2023. The trainees visited Naval Ship Lift Facility and aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya. A trek to Anjadip Island was organised wherein the trainees visited historic Portuguese remains and war memorial.The squadron will be visiting Goa and Mumbai as part of training deployment.
