A batch of 17 young IAS trainee officers from Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration LBSNAA visited SNC, Kochi from 04 to 05 January 2023 as part of their Winter Study Tour Programme. The trainee officers on arrival were briefed on role and importance of SNC as Training Command of Indian Navy. Commodore Ben H Berson, Director NIETT welcomed trainees and provided an overview of Indian Maritime history, role of Armed Forces and emergence of Indian Navy as a Maritime power. The trainee officers visited SNC ships, NSRY and various Naval training facilities/simulators at Garuda, Dronacharya and other professional schools. The visit provided IAS officer trainees an opportunity to appreciate multi-faceted qualitative training imparted by Command towards operation and maintenance of assets of Indian Navy.
