On the occasion of Armed Forces Veterans Day, wreath laying ceremony was conducted at War Memorial, INS Venduruthy on 14 January 2023. Commodore Deepak Kumar, VSM, Commanding Officer, INS Venduruthy and Station Commander, Kochi laid a wreath on behalf of SNC. Ex- Servicemen from all three Services of Kochi region also laid wreath on occasion. Vice Admiral MP Muralidharan (Retd), President of the Navy Foundation, Kochi Charter, was the senior-most veteran present on occasion. A brief interaction was also held between serving and retired personnel after wreath laying ceremony. The Armed Forces Veterans Day is held on 14th of January every year to commemorate selfless devotion and sacrifice of our veterans to salute the indomitable spirit of those personnel who served Indian Armed Forces with pride and honour. The event also serves to strengthen the bond between the serving personnel and the Veterans.
