A POP was held to mark the graduation ceremony of Air Operations Officers at INS Garuda, Naval Base, Kochi on 13 January 2023. 14 officers of Indian Navy including four women officers, three ICG officers and two Sri Lankan Navy officers graduated from Naval Air Operations School. The officers were awarded prestigious 'Golden Wings' by Rear Admiral Ajay D Theophilus, Deputy Commandant, INA. The newly qualified officers were trained in flying theory and practical, including tactics in Air Warfare and Anti Submarine warfare. These officers would be joining frontline air squadrons of Indian Navy and Indian Coast Guard.
