21st edition of bilateral naval exercise between India and France – Varuna commenced on the Western seaboard on 16 January 2023. The exercise will be conducted over five days from 16 to 20 January 2023. Ships of the two navies will hone war fighting skills, enhance interoperability, conduct multidisciplinary operations and demonstrate their ability to jointly promote peace, security and stability in the region.
