On the occasion of 74th Republic Day 2023, Indian Navy contingent comprising 48 personnel led by Lt Cdr Srikant Garg and a Navy tableau participated in Republic Day Parade at Chennai conducted by Government of Tamil Nadu. Navy tableau depicted Naval uprising of 1946, a key event in India's freedom struggle. A model of INS Vikrant and INS Arihant was displayed along with new Naval ensign marking shift from colonial mindset.
