On request of UT of Lakshadweep Administration, a swift medical evacuation of a 19 year old boy with severe head injury was undertaken at night of 15 to 16 February 2023 by SNC. The patient was airlifted from AgattiIsland and shifted to Kochi by Naval Dornier of INS Garuda. This night casualty evacuation was possible due to validation of night flying operations from Agatti airfield undertaken by Indian Navy in October 2022. The efforts towards operationalizing Agatti airfield by night has thus paved way for undertaking quick humanitarianaid and casualty evacuation missions.
