Defence Security Corps DSC, INS Chilka celebrated its 76th anniversary on 25 February 2023. DSC was raised on 25 February 1947 as ‘Defence Department Constabulary’, and later re-christened as Defence Security Corps who are responsible for maintaining security of vital defence installations and establishments. As part of celebrations, walkathon, swimming, cyclothon and cross-country competitions were organised for DSC personnel and their families. On this occasion, Commodore NP Pradeep, Commanding Officer, INS Chilka congratulated all ranks of DSC and commended them for their outstanding performance.
