INS Nireekshak on deployment provided medical assistance to an Indian fishing vessel 'Bala Padmavati' off Karwar on 01 March 2023. The fishing boat had reported burn injury of one of the boat crew. The ship's boat with medical team was immediately dispatched. First aid treatment and medicare was provided to the injured boat crew and his medical condition was stabilised. A precious life was saved at sea by Indian Navy.
