As part of National Safety Week celebrations, a workshop on industrial safety with the theme of "Our Aim Zero Harm" was conducted on 09 March 2023 at Naval Dockyard, Visakhapatnam. A total of over 300 personnel from various units of Headquarters Eastern Naval Command, Indian Navy’s Safety organisation, HSL shipyard, Visakha Steel Plant, L&T Defence and Coromandal Ltd participated in the workshop. Shri D Chandra Sekhara Varma, Director of Factories, Government of Andhra Pradesh was the Chief Guest at the workshop, who also delivered a talk on the subject. During the workshop, aspects related to industrial safety, risk control and management, accident theory and safety practices were deliberated. At the end of the Workshop, the Chief Guest was felicitated by Rear Admiral Sanjay Sadhu, Admiral Superintendent of Naval Dockyard (V).
