Training camps for VII and IV term cadets of INA named ‘Varuna’ and ‘Samudramanthan’, were conducted from 21 - 24 March 2023. Total of 146 cadets participated in camp aimed at developing esprit-de-corps, camaraderie, leadership qualities, whilst testing physical endurance and mental strength of cadets. Camp activities comprised of endurance runs, small arms firing, construction of rafts and punting, obstacle courses, rowing and Open Ocean sailing along with other seamanship evolutions. In addition to cadets of VII and IV term, 26 trainees of SNOC (IT), including 13 women trainees were given an exposure to camp activities. On the last day, cadets also participated in a highly challenging quadrathlon comprising a 25/18 km run in full battle gear, swimming, obstacle course and weapon firing. The four-day camp culminated with a camp fire. Daredevil Squadron and Eagle Squadron won the Camp Banner for Camp ‘Varuna’ and ‘Samudramanthan’ respectively for Spring Term 2023.
