20 Sea Warriors of INS Magar based at SNC embarked on a bike expedition from Kochi to Pune on 27 March 2023 to commemorate 36 glorious years of service. The expedition was flagged off by Rear Admiral Upal Kundu, CSO (Training), SNC. The 12 day expedition is planned over 3000 km covering major defence units and establishments at Ooty, Mangalore, Karwar, Bangalore and Belgaum. The ship is affiliated with the Bombay Sappers at Pune. The expedition aims to foster the spirit of camaraderie and jointmanship with the Army unit. Enroute the team would be conducting various plantation drives spreading the message of environmental awareness amongst the masses.One of the highlights of this expedition is participation of four women riders belonging to family of team Magar.
