Directorate of Naval Oceanology and Meteorology DNOM hosted an interaction-cum-lunch for key personnel from National Weather Agencies, the IAF as well as veterans of the IN METOC community as part of WMO Day celebration 2023. Dr Mrutyunjay Mohapatra, DG, IMD addressed the gathering and shared his vision and thoughts around this year’s WMO theme, viz. “The Future of Weather, Climate and Water across Generations”. Dr VS Prasad, Sc ‘G’ and Head NCMRWF and AVM AK Devrani, ACAS (Met) also graced the occasion. The august gathering had the privilege of the presence of Commodore PI Oommen, (Retd.) the first PD of the cadre, in addition to five other former Pds.
