The ships of 1TS (INS Tir, INS Sujata and ICGS Sarathi) on OSD made port call at Port Victoria, Seychelles on 29 March 2023 after undertaking joint EEZ surveillance with Seychelles Coast Guard. Senior Officer First Training Squadron along with Commanding Officers of ships called on Shri Kartik Pande, High Commissioner of India and Brigadier Michel Rosette, Chief of Defence Force CDF, Seychelles Defence Forces. In a ceremony onboard INS Tir, machinery spares and stores meant for Seychelles Coast Guard were handed over to CDF. The squadron presently has trainees from six FFC in addition to 120 Indian trainees. It was a proud moment for young Trainee Benjamin from Seychelles to interact with his CDF. Cross training visits, professional and social interaction are planned during ships stay.
