20 officers and 128 sailors of Basic Submarine course successfully passed out from INS Satavahana on 31 March 2023 on completion of 24 weeks of rigorous training. The basic submarine course for Sindhugosh and Kalvari class submarine commenced on 17 October 2022. The training included theoretical classes, professional phase and practical training. During the course, trainees also participated in various sports events, adventure activities and competed in a camp held at Sainik School Korukonda in February 2023. The Best Officer trophy for all round performance in Sindhugosh and Kalvari class was awarded to Lt Abhishek Rana and Lt Sachin Kumar Singh respectively. The trophy for the best overall Artificer sailor was awarded to Ankit EAR Apprentice. During the passing out ceremony, Commodore Rajat Nagpal,Commanding Officer INS Satavahana complimented the passing out course and wished them success in all their future endeavours.
